Every Tuesday 5.45-6.45pm Ashtanga Yoga (Short Forms)
Ashtanga yoga Primary Series led class, suitable to those familiar with Ashtanga yoga or for newcomers willing to take it gently and give it a go! The series includes pranayama (breathing practices); sun salutations, standing postures, seated postures, finishing postures (including shoulder stands and headstands for those able to learn them) and relaxation to finish. A dynamic, energising, class increasing strength and flexibility whilst stilling the mind.
Every Wednesday 10am -11am Gentle Yoga
A class suitable for ALL people of ALL ages and abilities comprising gentle yoga stretches, and Yoga Nidra - a profoundly relaxing and rejuvenating guided meditation. With a strong emphasis on breath-work, meditation, mindfulness, and having fun, this class is suitable for everybody, but is particularly suited to people who are not especially fit, strugggling with mental health problems, in recovery from addictions, PTSD sufferers, older people, and women going through the menopause.
Every Thursday 9.30-10.30am Vinyasa Yoga
A vibrant, energetic class based loosely around the Ashtanga yoga series but with less structure and a more playful approach. Each class includes some pranayama (breathing exercises); sun salutations; standing postures; seated postures; and time for meditation, or guided relaxation. A down-to earth, energetic and energising, class for mixed abilities.
